Michael Bellissimo

Personal Trainer & Nutrition Coach

Michael’s passion for fitness began in high school when bodybuilding became a hobby of his and, once he picked up a weight, he was hooked! In the years following, he pursued kinesiology and a course called Body Dynamics. In Michael’s last year of high school, he was encouraged to enroll in the Fitness and Lifestyle Management Program at George Brown College. This three-year diploma program gave him the practical and technical skills he needed to start my career in the fitness industry.

A session with Michael begins with structural balance where, through a range of motion assessment, he will assess the body’s imbalances and correct them through specific exercises. These exercises will be integrated into a fast-paced circuit routine where you will feel challenged and get the most from your session.

Michael has been with the Toronto Athletic Club for 13 years and has continued his education through various certifications. Among the countless courses, Michael completed the EXOS Personal Training Specialist certification which has furthered his ability to design the most appropriate periodized program for his clients.

He also has Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach which allows him to assist my clients in reaching their nutritional goals along with their performance goals because remember, “abs are made in the kitchen”!

TESTIMONIALS:

“I have trained with Michael Bellissimo for more than 10 years at the TAC. Michael provides knowledgeable, courteous training to enhance body strength and cardio endurance. As I get older, it is important to have someone who understands nuances such as balance and oversees exercises to avoid injury. He also provides nutritional advice which is an added bonus. I would recommend Michael as a trainer to anyone.”
