The benefit of closed doors...
Living Well

…doesn’t have to be that a window opens. Sometimes one doesn’t. In this case, one of the most powerful advantages of closing doors is that it simplifies your life. Fewer options can mean fewer decisions and less stress. Closing doors creates a clearer, brighter light down the hallway making for an easier journey. No second guessing and looking back wondering “what if…”. There is only one road. You can step forward with commitment and confidence. Ready to handle whatever comes your way, because there is no other way.
Many doors have closed in the past 6 months. And three days ago – in Toronto – many doors closed for a second time.
We didn’t have to close our doors. Our Virtual Doors are open and widening daily. We are learning so much about how to thrive in this new space. And we welcome you – if you haven’t already – to come and join us.

Our personal training clients are shocked. All of them! At how effective and fun – yes fun – virtual personal training is. You don’t need to have had a trainer before. And you don’t need to train with us every week. We can and love to help everybody!
The Club and other gyms are closed. The outcome isn’t inactivity. Quite the opposite. Your training now has the benefit of being more focused. The options are limited, and that is a powerfully wonderful thing. Because of those options remaining, there are a few that are critically important. A few that many ignore when they go to the gym. Why? Because it’s fun to “crush it”. Because exercising in a group is awesome. Because heavy lifting feels good and is good for you. Because cycling with a coach and power meter is so motivating.

So, what do we tend to ignore? Some key movement that may not be quite as glamourous, empowering, or fun. They are vital and powerful nonetheless:
- Training without shoes
- Mobility AND Stability
- Get Up Off That Floor! (by James Brown?!)
- Training your end range

I challenge and encourage you to try each one of them out as they come up. Determine you’re going to make the best use of the time while the doors are closed.
If and when you need a hand – our doors ARE open. Virtually for now. Please don’t be shy to ask for help.
