If you commit to practicing yoga once a week, you'll begin to see incredible health benefits within just a few weeks. However, if you practice several times a week, you will see longer-lasting benefits. As a general rule of thumb, a healthy practice of yoga is usually around 3 - 5 times a week, allowing for adequate rest.

FAQ

Can I do yoga if I'm not flexible?

Absolutely! We offer introductory yoga classes and provide blocks to assist with some poses, if you need them. Many forms of yoga combine both static and dynamic stretching, along with balance work. Yoga also focuses on the breath to help with stress relief and the release of endorphins.

What types of yoga do you offer at the Club?

We offer: Yin, Vinyasa, Iron, Hatha, and more! The Club's diverse range of yoga classes are perfect for all levels of yogis and athletes. With 10+ different weekly yoga classes to choose from, there's something for everyone. Keep trying classes until you find one or two that you love!

What should I bring to class?

All Members are asked to bring is their own hydration to class. We provide mats, blocks, and towels, however, if Members would like to bring their own equipment and accessories, they are welcome to do so.

How early should I arrive before my class?

If you're new to the class, please arrive 5 minutes beforehand. This will give the instructor enough time to introduce themselves and get you familiar with the class' style.

How do I sign up for yoga classes?

If you're already a Toronto Athletic Club Member, you can use your Cambridge Group app to register for a class. If you're not a Club member, we encourage you to book a tour with our Membership team at your earliest convenience by clicking here or calling the Club.
