Lauren Neal has been with Adelaide Club
now for quite a while and she has made quite the impact! Her bright, almost impossibly wide, smile has been gracing our studios, gym floors, and lounge every day for eight months. We thought we would sit down with Lauren and let you know a little bit about just who is behind that smile. You won’t be disappointed!
Lauren was born in California! Can we contribute her healthy glow to being a California Girl? Probably not, Lauren has been in Canada since she was two. It was here that her love for fitness took shape. Lauren began running at a very young age. She was out on the track in grade four! It wasn’t long before she switched to endurance. When questioned about her first fitness job, Lauren says it was organizing a running group for the kids in the neighbourhood. It was an initiative all her own. She took it very seriously and monitored everyone’s progress with a clipboard and a stopwatch. Her next stop was a cycling instructor before landing the position of Director of Fitness at McMaster University.
Lauren was organizing fitness programs at private clubs when she first heard about the opportunity as Group Exercise Director at Adelaide Club Toronto. The new opportunity excited her and now, with eight months under her belt, has it lived up to her expectations?
“The club is always very busy and every day is different—I love that,” says Lauren. “The variety of classes is fantastic! And we’re only going up from here.”
Where do you see things going in the immediate future?
“The immediate goal is to stay innovative while still continuing with the classics. Adelaide Club members are really impressive. They take their fitness goals very seriously. They also know how important it is for the body to learn new movements and are eager to incorporate new classes into their regime.”
Lauren’s last words?
“Adelaide Club Toronto members and staff have been nothing but welcoming and full of positive energy. I’m thrilled to be here!”
We’re thrilled to have you here too, Lauren!
