Amanda is a New York City native who came to Canada to study at McGill University and the University of Toronto. She has completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto.
She uses her knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and physiology to teach yoga. She has experience with a number of different styles of yoga including Hatha Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Iyengar yoga, and combines those methods to teach “functional yoga” classes that are specifically programmed to address the needs of the individual she works with. Amanda is particularly passionate about working with active individuals who integrate yoga into their cross training.
Amanda is passionate about helping people transition from rehabilitation to performance. She feels that yoga has the rare ability to inspire a sense of newness and self-discovery in the body and mind, whether you have been practicing for ten days or ten years.
Amanda differs from other yoga instructors because of her extensive training and background in anatomy, physiology and clinical diagnosis. She is able to integrate her chiropractic education with her knowledge of yoga and as a result, has a unique approach to client care.

“Amanda is outstanding. She is very knowledgeable about the body and she tailors your session to your progress and your current issues and limitations. I believe she genuinely cares about what is going on in your life more broadly, which is something that I value. She is happy to respond to requests for exercises to do at home or to draft a yoga program for you. Her sessions are fun and interesting and I look forward to them.”
