Meet Mike Savage – footy fanatic, family man, and a strength, fitness, and performance coach.
Mike was born in the UK. He kick-started his career playing football for Leicester City Football Club’s Youth Academy. Later, he decided to devote his leadership qualities and passion to help others achieve their goals within the fitness and athletic industry.
He graduated from Loughborough College – a leading sports institute in the UK – in Sports and Exercise Sciences. In 2005, he pursued a career in Personal Training.
In 2007, Mike relocated to Toronto. Since then, he has worked as a personal trainer/performance coach at the Toronto Athletic Club. His areas of focus and expertise include weight loss management, body fat reduction, nutrition and lifestyle coaching, lean tissue development, and strength and sports performance. He continues to accomplish amazing results with his clients through his knowledge of exercise and nutrition, professional guidance, and unparalleled support.
In 2011, Mike along with two of his clients traveled to Virginia Beach – US, to complete the Navy Seal 24-hour challenge. In 2012, Mike was awarded MVP of the elite Ontario Soccer League whilst playing for Ulster Thistle Football Club.
In 2016, Mike expanded his clientele to include professional athletes, starting with several Canadian squash professionals to develop their off-court strength and performance. Amongst the professionals that Mike works with are 2017 national Canadian squash champion Nick Sachvie, and world ranked Canadian squash professionals Sam Cornett and Nikki Todd. Most recently, he has provided performance assessments for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL.

"I started working with Mike Savage in September 2017, hoping to increase my strength, endurance, and speed on the squash court, with the ultimate goal of getting my world ranking closer to number 1. May of 2017 was the start of my off-season, so I had lots of time to focus on my fitness with Mike. When my season began in September, I was playing the best squash I have ever played and felt great on court.
