Swim Coach

Lauren had learned to swim by the age of 4, and her constant desire to be in the water quickly led her to the sport of competitive swimming. By age 8, Lauren was in the competitive swim program at the Etobicoke Swim Club.

Her career quickly took off, and by 13, she had begun representing Canada at international meets for athletes under 18. Her success continued through high school, taking her all over the world to compete for team Canada. In her junior years, Lauren and her teammates broke several club, provincial, and national records. At one point, her relay team was ranked one of the top in the world for senior swimmers.

She was recruited by several NCAA universities, and decided to swim for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During her 4 years at university, Lauren broke school and Atlantic Coast Conference records both individually and with her team. She graduated as a 4-time All American and retired from competitive swimming upon graduation.

With her competitive career behind her, Lauren has continued to nurture her love for the sport by teaching others. Lauren can help you in all aspects of your swim training. Whether you want to learn to swim, work on your technique, or improve your overall health, Lauren will create a customized workout plan to best suit your needs.

Advice I always give to my friends when they don't want to go to the gym: "You never regret going to the gym, but will usually regret not going."

Advice that I received that motivates me on a daily basis: "Don't be upset by the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do."
