| WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HAVING A PERSONAL TRAINER? MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VALUABLE TIME. A trainer will design a program to ensure you get the most out of your time in the gym. Depending on your goals, they can implement a variety of components, such as strength, flexibility, core training and cardiovascular fitness, all into one complete training session.
ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS, SAFELY AND EFFECTIVELY. Our trainers remain up-to-date with the latest trends in the fitness industry. They will design a program specifically tailored to help you reach your goals, paying particular attention to technique while offering constant motivation.
YOUR TRAINER WILL HELP YOU SET AND REACH YOUR FITNESS AND LIFESTYLE GOALS. Think of them as your teacher, your friend and your motivator.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM PERSONAL TRAINING? Everyone can achieve their lifestyle goals with a personal trainer.
BEGINNERS: If you are new to fitness, it is essential to start out on the right foot. A personal trainer can teach you correct exercise techniques, how to use the equipment, and can guide you in creating your program with the recommended number of sets and repetitions. Working one-on-one with a fitness professional allows you to get instant feedback and motivation.
BREAK THROUGH THE PLATEAU: It is natural to experience a plateau when working out on your own. At this point, a personal trainer can show you new techniques and make changes to your program to assist you in improving your fitness level. Variety is key!
SPORT SPECIFIC/ADVANCED: If you are training for a specific sport or preparing for a challenging hike or mountain bike ride, a personal trainer can take you to a higher level of performance.
REHABILITATION: If you are looking to make the transition from injury rehabilitation back into your regular fitness program, a personal trainer will ensure a smooth transition. Your trainer will work closely with your doctor or physical therapist to make the move safer and more effective. Often times, the exercises prescribed for rehabilitation are implemented into your fitness program to ensure a full recovery.
PRE AND POST-NATAL: Whether you are preparing for pregnancy or on the road to recovery from childbirth, a personal trainer can design a program catering to your changing body. We have trainers who are certified to work with pre and postnatal women.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TRAIN WITH MY PERSONAL TRAINER? The frequency of your training depends upon you and your goals. For members who are first starting with a trainer, or those who want to see quick results may want to workout two to three times per week. Once a routine is established, you may want to decrease the frequency of training to once or twice a week. The scheduling is flexible and can be customized to suit your busy schedule. Your trainer can also make recommendations on the frequency of training sessions.
HOW DO I GET STARTED? Contact our Personal Training Director for an initial consultation. You will be asked to share your goals, past exercise history, any health concerns/limitations, as well as any preferences you may have. Next, the Personal Training Director will recommend a trainer that would be best suited for you to ensure goal attainment and enjoyment. Within a day or two, your personal trainer will call you to arrange your first training session.
